Lac de Pont is a lake formed by a dam across the River Armançon upstream from Semur-en-Auxois, built in the 19th century to provide water for the Canal de Bourgogne (Burgundy Canal).

Details

Description 

The lake provides for fishing, boating, swimming and walking, together with a small beach with café. Parking is free and close by is 'Camping Lac De Pont'. A pleasant 15km walk follows a footpath around the perimeter of the lake, though we only had time available to complete a short section. The beach area is a very popular place particularly on a hot summer's day.
