P&O Ferry - Dover to Calais

There is always a certain amount of anticipation when leaving Dover for Calais, France, even more so when leaving behind uncharacteristic perfect weather in England. Fears that the weather would change once we arrived in France proved to be unfounded and we had almost 3 weeks of very high temperatures. Our plan was to spend a few days in the Somme region in order to visit the Thiepval and Arras memorials, dedicated to the soldiers who fell during The Great War before moving south to Burgundy in order to enjoy some cycling along the Canal de Bourgogne.
